Takes subject matters of the ordinary and common world which we call "reality".
Surrealism
- A twist on realism. It explores the subconscious mind, with subject matters concentrating on dream-images and often aims to distort the ordinary and what we call reality.
- Surrealism defies logic. Dreams and the workings of the subconscious mind inspire surrealistic art (French for "super-realism") filled with strange images and bizarre juxtapositions.
- Dream-like scenes and symbolic images
- Unexpected, illogical juxtapositions
Dadaism
An anti war art movement with art works that is satirical and nonsensical nature.
Digital Surrealism
Surrealism is a cultural movement that explores various types of art to communicate the ideas of the artist about themselves. Nowadays, surrealism is one of the most popular digital art styles in the digital era.

The Process
To start, I edited the camera image I had taken in Adobe Photoshop. I removed the 'Canon' brand logo using Edit > Content-Aware Fill, as Mr. Hafiz mentioned it was distracting. I also edited the mposition of the camera lens, moving it to the center so later on I could position the mountain perfectly in the middle.

Next, in another file, I added a layer and inserted the edited camera picture. Then, I added a new layer and inserted a black circle to cover the camera lens. After that, I added another layer for the mountain picture, used the Quick Selection Tool to select the mountain picture, and adjusted the color balance and hue/saturation. Next, I added another layer for the sunset image, set the blending mode to Vivid Light, and adjusted the opacity to 48%.

Turned out Mr. Hafiz gave me some feedback and suggested revisions:
- The camera body since it is dark, can be a clipping mask or a blended mode image of a dark sky with stars, and maybe the moon. -> For this suggestion, I then decided to place an image of a dark sky within the camera lens. I had tried placing it on the camera body, but it appeared too crowded.
- If I wanted to keep the composition of the image, I could have the word “Capture the beauty” in the camera and the word “Nature” behind the trees, meaning between the trees and the mountain. Other than that, the shape and manipulation is good. -> I followed this suggestion and decided to do revision.
I decided to make another file and inserted the mountain picture and used Quick Selection Tool to select and take the forest part. After that, I added this file to the main file and placed it as the topmost layer.

Next, in a separate file, I cropped the sky picture into a circle and then replaced the previous black circle covering the camera lens to this sky image, following Mr. Hafiz's feedback.

Next, I started working on the typography in Adobe Illustrator. I used Futura typeface. For the phrase 'Capture the Beauty' I used the Ellipse Tool, then the Knife Tool, and created the text. I outlined the text send it to the back, and applied Envelope Distort by selecting both the word and the shape. I used this as a guide I planned to trace it later.

In another layer, I added the text letter by letter and traced it using the guide I had created earlier, using Create Text > Outline Text > Curvature. Then, I added the sunset image, selected both the sunset and the text, and applied a clipping mask.

For the 'Nature', I followed the same steps, but without the guide, simply adjusting it while matching it with the background. I placed the word 'nature' between the forests and the mountain.
